Little Things

So often in life, it's the little things that make a difference. Like drawer handles. They're just there! You grab one and pull… Voila, the drawer is open!

The cupboards and drawers in our downstairs kitchen /wet bar have not had handles since we moved in. I had purchased a variety of door and drawer hardware that was (inconveniently) in storage, and I wanted to wait to see if anything would work. So we waited and waited for the storage to be delivered. Miraculously I found the hardware quite easily, and indeed there was something we both liked.

The we waited and waited some more until Alec found the time and energy to get them installed.

Up until now, to get the top drawer open, you started at the bottom and worked your way up. Very good for the abdominal muscles, but a bit of a pain in the ass….

So now, when we want to open a drawer… Voila!!

Have not yet updated the other side as we are not happy with the way it turned out. We will pull it down and swap the two sections around, and then install the knobs!!

The last not-so-little thing was getting the combo washer/dryer in and hooked up. Not having to go next door to do the laundry…..priceless!!

Ahhhhhh…..
