Busy busy on the block yesterday!! All of the remaining materials were delivered to get us to lock up. Except the balustrades.
The day was spent getting everything ready to assemble.
Front balcony squared and boards measured and cut.
Back deck foundation holes dug and fame built.
They have painted some sort of coating a across the bottom of the house where the deck will be fixed.
The trench is ready for the electricity cables to come down from the top of the property.
The mudroom glass double doors have been delivered, complete with idiot proof markings courtesy of the nanny state…
Door frames added to the bottom of the stairway, ready for that door to be hung.
Hopefully this last piece of siding will also go in…
They have dismantled the saw horses and swept up the sawdust.
Very clean and tidy!!
The cupboard that we purchased to be converted into the bathroom vanity downstairs was brought across, also.
Tomorrow it goes up on the workbench to start to figure out how best to remove the top. We will have a stone top made and use this top for a coffee table or something. I think it will do up beautifully!
I think we have rounded the last bend and are now in a race to the finish. To lock up, anyway!
